On Wednesday June 26, French Group BPCE published its “Vision 2030” strategic plan, with interim targets for 2026. It is pretty clear that through this plan BPCE has definitively shelved its climate ambitions. Already lagging behind other French banking groups, the Group has missed yet another opportunity to underline its commitment to tackle climate change, and to take note of two imperatives: the need to stop financing oil and gas expansion, and to massively increase its support for solutions.
