Since 2020, the Reclaim Finance team has been working every day to promote social and climate justice. Its main target? Finance! Because banks, insurers and investors shape the world around us. There can be no transition to a sustainable future without their transformation.
Limiting global warming to 1.5°C requires a gradual phase-out of fossil fuels, but this will not be possible without a halt to funding for new coal, oil and gas projects, and a massive increase in financial support for sustainable energy.
We are still a long way from achieving this. The majority of the biggest financial instituions continue to support the companies developing these new projects all around the world, giving them the money which should be spent on real solutions.
Since the Paris Agreement was signed, the 60 biggest banks in the world have allocated
US$1536
billion dollars to the 100 companies at the forefront of fossil fuel expansion.
With the expertise and tenacity of the Reclaim Finance team, we have secured a number of key milestones in our efforts to make finance work for the climate. One of our most recent achievements was the exclusion of fossil fuel developers from funds with the socially responsible investment label in France, despite intense lobbying of the French government by top financial and industrial representatives! How can I make a donation to Reclaim Finance?

Donations to Reclaim Finance entitle you to a tax reduction equal to 66% of the amount paid. A donation of €100 therefore comes to €34 after tax deduction (only for French tax residents).
