Set to be released in the coming days, the 2025 edition of the Banking on Climate Chaos (BOCC) report analyzes the financing provided by the world’s 65 largest banks to the coal, oil, and gas industries across the entire value chain. Produced by several NGOs – Reclaim Finance, Rainforest Action Network, BankTrack, Center for Energy, Ecology, and Development, Indigenous Environmental Network, Oil Change International, Sierra Club, and Urgewald – the report tracks loans and underwriting of equity and bond issuances for approximately 2,730 companies involved in the coal, oil, and gas sectors worldwide over the 2021–2024 period.
