About Lucie Pinson
Lucie founded Reclaim Finance in 2020 after several years of campaigning aimed at private financial actors, with the aim of broadening her fight to the entire financial sector and the institutions influencing its practices in order to fully utilize the financial leverage in transforming our economies. A social and environmental justice activist, Lucie began working on finance in 2013 when she joined Friends of the Earth France. She worked there until 2017 before continuing her voluntary commitment, still focusing on financial issues. In 2018, she joined the Sunrise Project as the European coordinator of the Unfriend Coal campaign, now called Insure Our Future, targeting insurers/reinsurers. She managed to persuade the largest French banking and insurance groups to adopt the first sectoral policies excluding entire segments of fossil fuels and contributed to pushing dozens of other financial actors in this direction. She received the Goldman Environmental Prize in November 2020, in recognition of her work on coal, and was listed in 2023 by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people on climate issues. Reuters listed her the same year as one of the 20 most influential women in the field.

Lucie a fondé Reclaim Finance en 2020 après plusieurs années de campagne en direction des acteurs financiers privés, en vue d’élargir son combat à l’ensemble du secteur financier, et des institutions influençant ses pratiques de manière à pleinement utiliser le levier financier dans la transformation de nos économies. Militante pour la justice sociale et environnementale, Lucie a commencé à travailler sur la finance en 2013 lorsqu’elle a rejoint les Amis de la Terre France. Elle va y travailler jusqu’en 2017 avant de poursuivre son engagement bénévolement, toujours sur les sujets financiers. En 2018, elle a rejoint le Sunrise Project en tant que coordinatrice européenne de la campagne Unfriend Coal, aujourd’hui nommée Insure Our Future, en direction des ré/assureurs. Elle a su convaincre les plus grands groupes bancaires et assurantiels français à adopter les premières politiques sectorielles excluant des pans entiers des énergies fossiles et a contribué à pousser des dizaines d’autres acteurs financiers dans cette direction. Elle a reçu le prix Goldman pour l’environnement en novembre 2020, en reconnaissance de son travail sur le charbon et a été listée en 2023 par Time Magazine comme une des 100 personnes les plus influentes sur les questions climatiques.
