Working at Reclaim Finance

Help transform finance as part of a committed, rigorous, and collaborative team

Working at Reclaim Finance means joining an organization that strives to practice what it preaches. This page outlines the principles that guide how we operate, how we recruit, how we work together, and how we exercise our responsibilities.

A dedicated team transforming finance

Reclaim Finance brings together around 40 people with complementary expertise: financial analysts, researchers, sector experts, campaigners, advocacy and influence specialists, communications professionals, and core team members essential to running and managing the organization.

This diverse range of skills enables us to combine technical expertise, deep insight into financial issues, strategic influence, and mobilization power to drive our campaigns forward.

Our team is primarily based in France, with colleagues also located in Berlin, London, Bristol, and San Francisco.

Diverse backgrounds, a wide range of skills

We recruit based on skills, potential, and alignment with the requirements of the role.

We recognize that skills are built through diverse journeys—whether in professional, non-profit, activist, academic, or personal backgrounds. Above all, we look to understand what each individual can bring to our mission, beyond job titles or conventional career paths.

Our hiring process relies on pre-defined criteria, structured application reviews, and a strong focus on the diversity of experiences and perspectives.

An organization built on collective responsibility

Reclaim Finance operates through a collaborative governance model, built on cooperation between teams and management.

Our structure balances:

  • Clear accountability for roles and decision-making;
  • Collective coordination of strategic priorities;
  • Team involvement in the organization’s life and ongoing development.

We strive to foster a work environment where everyone can exercise their responsibilities, share their analyses, and contribute to decisions affecting the organization.

Cooperation does not mean a lack of structure: decisions are prepared collectively when strategic stakes require it, but every role carries defined responsibilities, and decisions are ultimately made by the designated individuals or bodies.

A transparent and equitable working environment

We strive to build a working environment that aligns with the transformations we fight for. This translates into concrete choices regarding pay, work organization, and human resources management.

Our key commitments are as follows:

A transparent salary scale, based on the scope of responsibility, level of autonomy, and how these responsibilities are fulfilled.

A capped pay gap, with a ratio of less than 1 to 2 between the lowest and highest salaries within the organization.

A minimum allowance or salary of €1,250 gross per month (full-time equivalent) for interns and work-study students, well above the applicable legal minimums.

Working conditions that foster a sustainable balance between professional commitment and personal life.

Recruitment, evaluation, and career progression practices based on explicit criteria to promote fairness and reduce bias.

An active policy on preventing discrimination and promoting a respectful, inclusive work environment.

A culture built on integrity, cooperation, and responsibility

Our demand for integrity does not apply only to the financial actors we challenge; it begins within our own operations.

We strive to build an organization that aligns with the transformations we advocate for, rooted in transparency, cooperation, and collective responsibility.

This involves:

  • Sharing information and encouraging open dialogue;
  • Recognizing the diversity of expertise and perspectives;
  • Making decisions collectively when the stakes require it;
  • Providing everyone with a clear framework to exercise their responsibilities.

We look for individuals who can work collaboratively, share their insights, take on responsibility, and contribute to the shared goals of the organization.

Our values

Solidarity, integrity, tenacity, and justice guide how we act. They define our way of working together, our relationships with partners, and our approach to the transformations we seek to achieve.
