Press release

Paris, October 27, 2022 – Today is the 8th Climate Finance Day, bringing together the Paris financial institutions to discuss its role in accelerating the environmental transition. This timid edition plays the game of the status quo. Bruno Le Maire, who did not attend the event, has called on French financial players to assume their responsibilities. Lacking transparency and coordinated actions, the players of the Paris financial market “must go faster and stronger” in the face of environmental issues. The creation of the future Institute of Sustainable Finance by Paris Europlace should enable the French financial center to respond to this call from the Minister of the Economy. The issue of support for oil and gas expansion was not discussed.
